Foxtrot Biancospino - Listone Giordano
A wooden fabric that loses the traditional shapes of parquet and draws inspiration from the works of Mies van der Rohe and Mondrian. An interweaving of lines, squares, and rectangles that freely come together to create ever-new surfaces. design Matteo Nunziati.
Matteo Nunziati: "The starting point, as always in my projects, is to design something that is not too designed. By this I mean that in my products I prefer to seek the essence of things! I believe that despite the contemporary nature of my designs, there is actually a strong sense of the classical. Classical not in the sense of copying a capital or a Baroque floor, but as a proportion between all the parts, a formal balance. This is why in Foxtrot, I chose to re-read the works of the Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. Even though he was extraordinarily innovative, Mondrian has a deeply classical component. Foxtrot stands out for its uniform, elegant but essential appearance. Approaching the wooden surface, one discovers a geometric texture capable of generating ever new and different shapes by simply moving one's point of observation."
