In the design of the "Bo" chair Starck starts from what are the canonical rules for stackable chairs: narrower front legs, rear legs positioned outside the seat edge, but, immediately, he transforms these rules into an expedient capable of strongly characterizing the design. Indeed, Bo assumes a special snap, taking advantage of the very widening at the point where the seat top becomes a backrest. Here then, in analyzing "bo," we forget about stackability, and the latter succeeds without any "formal effort" when needed.
